About the role

Build dashboards, models, and ad hoc analyses that drive pricing, retention, and growth decisions for a B2B SaaS product. Work directly with product and finance leaders to frame questions, surface insight, and translate data into action. Own the analytical layer end-to-end — from raw Postgres queries through to board-ready charts.

First 90 days

Week 1-2: Read the last 6 months of executive deck appendices. Map every recurring metric to its underlying SQL. Week 3-6: Own the weekly retention & churn report end-to-end. Find one cohort insight the team has missed and present it to the VP Product. Week 7-10: Rewrite the 3 slowest dashboards (currently 45s+ load) using dbt models. Document the methodology. Week 11-13: Run the analytics work for the pricing change A/B test. Define success metrics, monitor, and present the kill-or-scale recommendation to the CFO.
